Tamil Nadu Government will give money

Tamil Nadu Government has announced to give this money to the people of the state. State Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has directed to give Rs 1,000-1,000 to ration card holders on the occasion of Pongal festival next month.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. While ordering, Stalin has said that on the occasion of Pongal next month, he has promised to give Rs 1000-1000 to the ration card holders. The state government gives some amount to the poor every year on the occasion of Pongal. Along with this, items like rice, sugar are also given as gifts.

One kilo of rice-sugar will also be given, according to a government statement, apart from giving Rs 1000, all ration card holders will be given rice as a gift. Please tell that this order will also apply to the families living in Sri Lanka rehabilitation camps. According to the official statement, one kg of rice and one kg of sugar will also be given to the beneficiaries.

Will start distributing money from January 2.

About 2.19 crore card holders of the state will be benefited by this decision taken by the government. This decision will put a burden of about Rs 2356.67 crore on the exchequer. Stalin will launch the Pongal gift scheme here on January 2 and the festival will be celebrated on January 15.

In the year 2015, the state government had given gift bags. At the same time, in the year 2019, a cash amount of Rs 1000 was transferred to the needy of the state, Rs 2500 in 2020 and Rs 2500 in 2021. This amount is given by the government so that all the people of the state can celebrate this festival happily. Along with this, rice, sugarcane and sugar are also gifted. Let us tell you that it was first started in January 2014. At that time, the state government had given one kg of raw rice and one kg of sugar along with a cash amount of Rs.100.
