Srinagar, Apr 04: The School Education Department (SED) is mulling to initiate a process of fixing the responsibility of 10 students on one teacher for boosting and better learning outcomes.

Farukh Paul, the Under Secretary with the Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Mehta in an official communiqué issued to the principal secretary to government for School Education Department said, “The department shall roll out a people mentor initiative to fix responsibility of 10 students on one teacher for boosting learning outcomes.”

“We are in a process of implementing the orders of rolling-out the people mentor initiative wherein one teacher will boost and educate nearly 10 students to improve their quality of education,” Singh said.

Earlier, in December-2021, the government had said that teachers would be held accountable and responsible for fall in unacceptable dropout rate of students studying in public schools of Jammu and Kashmir.
