Whatsapp Group Admins Become More Powerful Check Now Their Powers.
WhatsApp backed by Meta is working on a feature that might give WhatsApp group admins more control of the chat groups. The new feature will be launched in a new update version up to 220.127.116.11 through the Google Play Beta Program. According to the reports shared by WhatsApp updates tracker WABetalnfo, the admins are soon going to be able to delete WhatsApp messages sent by members and once done, users will see the text, “This was removed by an admin.” Although this feature is still underdevelopment, the portal has shared a screenshot of what the new feature looks like.
- They shared the screenshot of the new feature, they wrote, “When the feature is enabled, and you delete an incoming message for everyone in a group, other people will read who deleted the message, and this is what WhatsApp wants to let you know.”
WhatsApp group admins to get more power
The upcoming feature is going to be a big shift on the instant messaging platform following the launch of ephemeral messages last year. Once the feature is launched, WhatsApp group admins will be able to act as moderators in addition to possessing the power to remove members from the group. The move seems to have the goal of giving more power to group admins so that they can control the flow of content in their groups.
Additionally, Whatsapp is planning to increase the time limit to delete a message for everyone: 2 days and 12 hours. This feature is going to be made available in a future update as well. But, there is no official statement about the release date of the same.
In the meantime, Whatsapp has launched an emoji reactions feature which has enabled WhatsApp users to react to their people’s messages with emojis. It is similar to the features available on other social networking sites like Facebook and Instagram. The feature will be called message reaction and will now enable users to react to a message using six emojis- Like, Heart, Laughing face, Surprised face, Thanks and Sad face.
